Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina (34-18, 14-13 SEC) finishes up the regular season this weekend with four games on the road beginning on Tuesday night (May 16) at 6 pm with a non-conference tilt vs. Furman (30-19, 14-10 SOCON) at the new West End Field in Greenville, S.C. Live audio broadcast with Tommy Moody and Tom Price will be available at uscsports.com. Carolina is ranked No. 17 in this week’s Sports Weekly/USA Today coaches poll and No. 26 in this week’s Collegiate Baseball Top 30. The Gamecocks then head north to Nashville, Tenn. with a series at Vanderbilt beginning on Thursday, May 18 at 6 pm CT vs. the Commodores.

South Carolina went 2-2 on the week with a win at The Citadel last Tuesday and one of three wins this weekend in a series with Tennessee … The Gamecocks are 34-18 and 14-13 in the SEC heading into the final weekend of the regular season … Carolina currently sits in a tie for third place in the Eastern Division and sixth place overall with Vanderbilt, who the Gamecocks play this weekend in Nashville.
CAMPBELL
Senior outfielder Michael Campbell set the USC games played record on Tuesday with his 252nd game in a Gamecock uniform passing Landon Powell (2001-04) … He is also just eight hits shy of Mac White’s school record for hits (303) as he enters the last week of the regular season with 295 in his career … His double in Saturday’s game tied him with Greg Morhardt (1982-84) for third place on the all-time USC list with 53 in his career … Campbell is batting .353 (72-for-204) on the year with four HR, 12 doubles and a team-high 48 RBI and is on a nine-game hitting streak.
CRISP
Freshman INF/OF Andrew Crisp saw his hitting streak end in Saturday’s loss with Tennessee at 19 games … Crisp has been batting .413 in SEC games (33-for-80) and .350 on the year (68-for-193).
HURST
Junior OF Cheyne Hurst had a three-run homer in Sunday’s 9-2 win over the Vounteers … He is batting .299 with four HR and 30 RBI this season.
ATWOOD
Freshman LHP Will Atwood won his first SEC game of his career taking a shutout into the sixth inning of Sunday’s win over Tennessee … Atwood tied his career-high with five strikeouts and improved his record to 4-1 on the year with a 4.19 ERA … He has pitched 43 innings and allowed just 20 runs on 44 hits with 29 strikeouts and seven walks.
HONEYCUTT
Sophomore RHP Harris Honeycutt pitched a career-high 7.2 innings and struck out 11 batters in Tuesday’s win at The Citadel … Honeycutt is 4-0 with a 3.25 ERA on the year and 49 strikeouts in 44.1 innings pitched.
