The South Carolina women’s tennis team will open their fall season in Greenville, S.C. at the 2005 Furman Fall Classic, which will take place Friday, September 30-Sunday, October 2 at the Mickel Tennis Center on the campus of Furman University.

The Gamecocks will join Clemson, Furman, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin in competition this weekend. This tournament will start the Gamecocks’ 2005 fall season.

During the spring, the Gamecocks concluded their season with an overall record of 15-9, 6-5 in the conference.

They will go into this tournament with an ITA ranking of 23rd, and three members of the team ranked nationally in singles.
