Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team finished the season ranked 23rd in the country. The Gamecocks posted a 15-9 record overall in the 2005 season with a 6-5 mark in SEC play.

Carolina was one of six teams in the SEC to be ranked in the top 25 with all six coming from the SEC eastern division. Four of the six eastern division teams were ranked in the top nine. The SEC had a total of 11 teams ranked in the ITA top 75 with nine of those 11 coming in the top 40.

The Gamecocks will return seven players from the 2005 roster to next years squad with five of the top six returning. Audrey George, Fallon Koon, and Magda Wojdylo were the three seniors on the 2005 Carolina roster.
