Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina baseball team (32-13, 12-9 SEC) returns to conference action this weekend with a three-game series at Tennessee (32-14, 12-8 SEC). First pitch for Friday’s game is set for 7 p.m. with Saturday’s game at 1 p.m. and Sunday’s finale scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday’s game will be televised on CSS-TV. All three games are also available on the South Carolina Radio Network and uscsports.com with Mike Morgan and Tom Price calling the action. Both teams are ranked as high as 13th in the nation, Tennessee in the Baseball America Top 25 and Carolina in the ESPN/Sports Weekly poll.

South Carolina head coach Ray Tanner is one win shy of his 800th career win. Now in his 18th season as a head coach and ninth at Carolina, Tanner has accumulated a 799-338-3 record (.702) and is the sixth winningest active coach in Division I baseball by winning percentage. There are 29 active coaches in college baseball with 800 or more wins.
