The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team will host No. 6 Kentucky on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center. South Carolina, 6-2, and 1-1 in the SEC, will try to end their two match losing streak with a win against the Wildcats who are 13-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Gamecocks are coming off a 4-1 loss to #24 BYU and a 4-3 loss to #38 LSU while the Wildcats defeated Mississippi and Mississippi State over the weekend.
Kentucky has taken the last three matches with the Gamecocks to take an 11-10 lead in the overall series. Two of the last three matches have been decided by scores of 4-3 while the other match was 5-2.
After facing the Wildcats on Friday at home, the Gamecocks will then travel to Nashville to face #5 Vanderbilt on Sunday.
