The University of South Carolina will hold Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Sarge Frye Field, Beckham Field and the USC Indoor Competition Facility. The event features both the South Carolina baseball team and women’s softball team and is being hosted by the South Carolina Athletic Department and USC Student Gamecock Club.

The South Carolina softball team opens its 2005 season that day at Beckham Field in the Carolina Invitational. USC hosts Stephen F. Austin at 12 p.m. with the Gamecocks also facing Coastal Carolina at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children. The Carolina baseball team will hold a team scrimmage at 1:30 p.m. at Sarge Frye Field. Admission is free.

Following the baseball scrimmage and softball games, fans will be invited to the USC Indoor Competition Facility for autographs, chance to meet the players and coaches and view a highlight video.
