COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Gamecocks will take on their final SEC opponent of the regular season as they host the Ole Miss Rebels April 24-25. First pitch for both days is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday is “Senior Day” and the USC Athletics Department will honor the 2004 seniors, Nancy Crane, Amber Curtis, Samantha Jennings, Stacey Johnson and Melissa Sandel.

Saturday is “Project Pet Donation Day” and fans that bring a donation of pet food or animal products for Project Pet get in for $1 admission. Project Pet will also have pets available for adoption at the game.

The Gamecocks will have one final chance to improve upon their 11-16 SEC record when they face the Rebels who are 6-18. The Gamecocks lead the series against Ole Miss 13-2. Last year the Garnet and Black went 2-1 in Oxford. USC’s overall record is 24-18 while Ole Miss is 13-34.

Crane leads the Gamecocks with a .338 average and she currently has a seven game scoring streak and a six-game hitting streak. Ashley Smith is another USC weapon as she is hitting .365 in SEC play and has driven in 15 runs for the Gamecocks in SEC games.

USC will close out the regular season next Wednesday with a home doubleheader against Coastal Carolina.
