Baseball Hosts Ole Miss to Conclude Homestand
The Gamecocks and Rebels will play a Thursday-Saturday series due to Easter.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina baseball team steps back into SEC play on Easter weekend, facing No. 25 Ole Miss in a three-game series from Thursday, April 14 to Saturday, April 16. Thursday and Friday’s game will start at 7 p.m. with Saturday’s series finale at 1 p.m. Saturday is Big Gamecock Weekend that includes the South Carolina spring football game. All three games will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. Dave Weinstein will call all three games, Kip Bouknight will be on Thursday and Friday and Stuart Lake will be on Saturday. All games also will be broadcast on the Gamecock Sports Network with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call. The Gamecocks are coming off a 4-2 win over North Florida on Tuesday night (April 12). Colin Burgess and Josiah Sightler homered and six Gamecock pitchers combined to allow just four hits in the win.
PARKING INFORMATION
Shuttle parking for the University of South Carolina baseball season will be operational at the Key Road Gravel Lot (1105 Key Road). Shuttle begins two (2) hours prior to first pitch and continues until 1 hour after the game.

SCOUTING OLE MISS
The Rebels defeated Murray State, 8-2, Tuesday morning in Oxford. Tim Elko was 3-for-4 on the day while Jacob Gonzalez had three hits and two RBI. Drew McDaniel struck out eight batters in five innings of work to earn the win. On the season, Kemp Alderman leads the team with a .317 batting average while Elko has 13 home runs and 43 RBI. Saturday starter Jack Washburn, an Oregon State transfer, is 4-2 with a 3.45 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched.
SERIES VS. OLE MISS
Carolina holds a 37-27 all-time series lead on Ole Miss heading into Thursday. The Rebels swept the Gamecocks in 2021 in Oxford. Wes Clarke drove in three runs in the series finale, a 6-4 loss to the Rebels.

BELK STAYS HOT IN GEORGIA SERIES
Brandt Belk was 6-for-10 with three runs scored, a three-run home run, three walks and five RBI in the Georgia series (April 8-10). Belk now has a 20-game hit and reached base streak and in the last 10 games, is hitting .452 with four doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI.
HALL HAS CAREER HIGH IN GEORGIA OUTING
Junior Noah Hall struck out a career high 10 batters against Georgia on April 8. He allowed just one run with seven hits and two walks, while his seven innings pitched tied a career high set last week against Missouri. Hall has struck out 14 batters in his last 14 innings pitched.
