ACADEMIC HONORS
2017, 2018, 2019 SEC Academic Honor Roll
2019
Indoors: Ran both the 3000m and 5000m over five meets… set a new 3K personal best, 8:45.91, in a fifth-place finish at the USC Indoor Open… came in 28th in the 3K at the SEC Championships.
Outdoors: Was Carolina’s top distance runner in his final season… took part in the 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 10000m… finished second in the 1500m at the Buccaneer Invitational and won the 3000m at the USC Outdoor Open… took third in the 5000m at the Spec Towns Invitational… ran a new 10K PR at Penn Relays, a time of 31:11.28 which ranked seventh in school history… finished 39th in the 5K and 16th in thr 10K at his final SEC Championships.
2018
Indoors: Ran at four meets… finished 15th in the 3000m at the Navy Winter Invitational with a PR time of 8:58.73… ran the 5000m at three meets, with a top time of 15:23.55 in a 16th-place finish at the Tiger Paw Invitational… that time ranked 10th in Carolina history at the end of the season… placed 18th at the SEC Championships in the 5K.
Outdoors: Took part in the 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 10000m over the course of seven meets… ran a PR in all four events… had his best 1500m at the USC Open, placing ninth with a time of 4:10.13… set a 3000m PR at the Weems Baskin Invitational, placing eighth with a mark of 8:40.65… had his best 5K time at Florida Relays, checking in at 14:53.96… ran the 10K for the first time collegiately at Penn Relays, posting a mark of 31:21.30, which ranked eighth in Carolina history at the conclusion of the season… finished 34th in the 5000m and 16th in the 10000m at the SEC Championships.
2017
Indoors: Ran the 5000m twice, finishing third at the Clemson Invitational and eighth at the Tiger Paw Invitational… his time of 15:24.14 at the Tiger Paw ranked 10th in Carolina history at the end of the year.
Outdoors: Ran both the 3000m and the 5000m… finished third in his lone 3K, with a time of 8:48.94 at the Weems Baskin Invitational… placed second at the Hurricane Invitational in the 5K.
2016
Indoors: Ran the 3000m at the USC Open #2, finishing second in 9:13.75.
Outdoors: Finished 26th in the 5K at the Shamrock Invite, crossing in a time of 16:03.29.
HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered in cross country, track, basketball and baseball at Greenwood High School… won the 2012 Region 1-4A championship in the cross country 5K… all-region honors in 2012 and 2013… twice named team MVP… won the Wendy’s Heisman Award for his school… Eagle Scout… Palmetto Fellow… President of National Honor Society… West Point Leadership Award.
