Davies and Gretkowski Earn Upset on Day 1 of Wolfpack Invitational Ranked Spotlight

CARY, N.C. – The Gamecocks completed day one of the Wolfpack Invitational Ranked Spotlight and doubles team No. 40 Megan Davies and Allie Gretkowski came away with an upset in their first match.
 
Davies and Gretkowski defeated No. 31 Diana Khodan and Isabella Pfenning from Miami with a quick 6-2 decision. The Gamecock duo then faced No. 27 Jaeda Daniel and Alana Smith of host NC State but dropped the match 6-3.
 
South Carolina will play the first two rounds of singles on Friday. It will not close out doubles play until Sunday.
