Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina men’s golf team will finish off their fall season when they participate in the Hawaii/Turtle Bay Intercollegiate in Kahuku, Hawaii. The two-day tournament will be held on Monday, Nov. 3 (36 holes) and Tuesday, Nov. 4 (18 holes). The Gamecocks return to the tournament after placing third out of 17 teams last year. Sophomore Eirik Johansen led the Gamecocks firing a one-under-par 215. Johansen’s score was good enough to earn him a tie for fourth place.
This year’s field includes Coastal Carolina, Hawaii (Green), Hawaii (White), Hawaii-Hilo, International Pacific College, Osaka Gakuin University, Saint Mary’s College, San Diego, Santa Clara, San Francisco, South Carolina, UC Riverside, Utah Valley State, Virginia, Washington State, and Weber State.

“Jonathan played very good in qualifying and earned the chance to participate,” said Blackmon. “He is looking forward to getting out on the course with his teammates.”
