Indoors: Competed primarily in the 60m hurdles, getting better as the season went along… finished fourth at the Navy Winter Invitational and fifth at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational… placed second at the UCS Invitational with a season-best mark of 8.63… finished 19th at the SEC Championships, running 8.67.
Outdoors: Took part in the 100m hurdles… finished 12th at the Tennessee Relays with a time of 13.77… ran a season-best 13.76 at the USC Open prelims and finished third overall at the meet… came in 18th at the SEC Championships… was part of the shuttle hurdle relay squad that finished third at the Florida Relays… also took part in the 4x100m and sprint medley relays.

2017
Indoors: Competed both in the 60m hurdles and the triple jump… made the 60mH finals at both the Clemson Invitational, where she finished sixth (8.62) and the Armory Invitational, where she placed ninth (8.58)… ran a season-best 8.54 in the Armory semifinals… finished 18th in the 60mH at the SEC Championships with a time of 8.62… placed fifth in the triple jump at the Clemson Invitational, with a mark of 38-7 1/2… jumped 39-8 3/4 at the Vanderbilt Invitational, the eighth-best mark in Carolina history… finished 25th at the SEC Championships, jumping 37-7 3/4.
Outdoors: Ran the 100m hurdles and competed in the triple jump… set a PR in the hurdles at the Gamecock Invitational with a time of 13.73… ran 13.96 at the SEC Championships to finish 15th… opened her triple jump season with an effort of 38-6 3/4 at the Weems Baskin Invitational, ninth-best in program history… added a third-place result at the Spec Towns Invitational.

2016
Indoors: Ran the team’s fastest time of the season for the 60m hurdles, posting a time of 8.38 at the Armory Invite… finished sixth in the finals at the Texas A&M Invite (8.49)… came 19th at the SEC Championship for the hurdles (8.58)… also competed in the triple jump… her top mark of 11.80 meters (38-8 3/4) at the Texas A&M Invite ranks eighth in school history… finished 20th in the triple jump at SECs (38-3 1/4)… also ran on 4×2 and 4×4 relay teams.
Outdoors: Ran a wind-aided season best of 13.91 in the 100m hurdles at the Spec Towns Invite… had a top hurdles finish of fifth place at the Shamrock Invite… posted her top triple jump mark at the Spec Towns Invite, reaching 37-9 1/4… that distance ranks 10th in school history… ran on the 4x100m relay team, and the shuttle hurdle relay team at the Florida Relays.

HIGH SCHOOL
Five-time state champion, winning the 2014 indoor triple jump, the 2014 outdoor 100-meter hurdles, 2014 outdoor triple jump, 2015 outdoor 100-meter hurdles and 2015 outdoor 300-meter hurdles… her personal best of 13.38 in the 100mH ranks second all-time in state history… state runner-up in the triple jump as a senior, but set a new PR of 40-7.25 in the process… Chesapeake Sports Club female athlete of the year in 2015… Norfolk Sports club outstanding metro scholastic female track performer in 2015.

Full name Adetoun Funlayo Oluwole… born June 19, 1997… daughter of Ladi and Adetoun… has three older siblings, Tosin, Boye and Akin… father Adetoun won the ACC Championship in the triple jump at NC State… brother ran in college for Virginia… born in Kentucky.
