Baseball Wraps Up Homestand with Tuesday Contest vs. CSU
The Gamecocks and Buccaneers meet Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Founders Park.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina baseball team wraps up a four-game homestand Tuesday night (April 13) against Charleston Southern at Founders Park. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. Every Gamecock contest will be on the Gamecock Radio Network with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call. Carolina won 2-of-3 games against Missouri this past weekend, winning the final two games 11-1 and 13-4. Brady Allen had six RBI in the series and the Gamecocks struck out 37 batters in the 27 innings pitched.
PARKING INFORMATION
For the 2021 season, there will not be shuttles from either the Key Road Gravel Lot or the Colonial Life Arena parking lot. There will be passes at lot 1 available for $10 apiece.

SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
The Buccaneers won 1-of-3 games at Campbell this past weekend, winning the series opener, 10-6, behind a grand slam from Andrew Bullock and seven strong innings from RJ Petit. Petit is 3-3 with a 2.86 ERA and 45 strikeouts while Tyrell Brewer is hitting .329 with a .454 on-base percentage.
SERIES VS. CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
Carolina holds a 74-13 series advantage on Charleston Southern heading into Tuesday’s game. The two teams played at SRP Park in North Augusta, S.C., in 2019 with the Gamecocks winning 10-3 on April 23. Brady Allen had a pair of triples and Daniel Lloyd struck out seven in the win. Carolina is 56-7 all-time against Charleston Southern in Columbia.
ALLEN DELIVERS IN MISSOURI SERIES
Brady Allen was 6-for-11 with six runs scored, two doubles, one home run and six RBI in a series win over Missouri on April 9-11. His three-run home run on Saturday got the Gamecocks on the board in the fifth inning. Allen then drove in four runs in Sunday’s 13-4 win over the Tigers. On the season, Allen leads the team with a .320 batting average and has nine home runs and 27 RBI.
LLOYD, KERRY CLUTCH OUT OF THE PEN
Juniors Daniel Lloyd and Brett Kerry each had strong outings out of the bullpen in the series win over Missouri. On Saturday, Lloyd pitched four scoreless innings, allowing four hits with no walks and two strikeouts to earn the save in the 11-1 victory. Then on Sunday, Kerry struck out eight in four innings of relief, allowing six hits and two runs with no walks.. Carolina’s bullpen has nine wins and 185 strikeouts in 133 innings pitched this season.
