2016 Cross Country (Senior)
Led the Gamecocks in every race in which she competed … Finished fourth overall in the Carolina Challenge in 18:39.67 … Posted the 10th-best 5K time in program history and her second best on the list with a 17:54.3 in the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational, ranking 35th in the Gold Division … Also came in 35th in the season’s first 6K, the Crimson Classic (21:46.2) … Finished 61st in the SEC Championships (22:09.9) and 74th in the NCAA Southeast Regionals (22:06.4).

2016 Track
Indoor: Ran the 5000m at four meets… ran 17:16.15 at the Tyson Invitational, where she finished second overall… had her top time at the conference championship, running 17:13.88 to take 17th overall.
Outdoors: Set a new personal best at three different distances to enjoy her best season yet as a Gamecock… came fifth in the 3000m at the Spec Towns Invite, but her time of 9:56.49 set a new personal best and moved her up to ninth in school history… crossed 11th in the 5000m at the prestigious Penn Relays, with her time of 16:47.24 now standing as the second-fastest in school history (best since 1994)… ran just one 10,000m race in the spring, but made it count, running 35:41.08 at the SEC Championship to finish 10th… the time ranks third in school history.

2015 Cross Country

Had a season to remember in 2015, running major personal bests and climbing even higher in the program record book while coming in as the team’s top individual finisher in all six of her races… opened the season with a third-place finish at the Carolina Challenge, running 18:51.14… followed that up with a runner-up placing at the Winthrop Invite, running 18:22, her top 5K time of the year… came in 22nd at the prestigious Paul Short Gold 6K, running 21:10 which, at the time, was a new personal best… three weeks later, she shattered that PR with a time of 20:45.70 at the SEC Championship, placing her 29th overall… the time moved her past Jenny Lake’s 2003 time of 20:48 and into sole possession of the third-fastest 6K time ever, and was also the program’s second-fastest time at a conference championship, behind Lake’s 2001 time of 20:42.13… ran 39th overall at the Southeast Regional meet (21.57.8).

2015 Track
Indoor: Did not compete.

Outdoor Ran the 3K at the Bill Carson Invite, finishing 9th (10:30.71)… ran the 5K at the Penn Relays, finishing 27th (17:29.91)… was the team’s top distance runner at the SEC Championships, finishing 29th in the 5k (17:16.60) and 12th in the 10k (36:43.10).

2014 Cross Country
Came in second in the USC Open #1 5K, finishing in 18:37.54 (9/13)… helped the Gamecocks take the Charlotte Invitational 6K title after finishing fifth in 22:29.5 (9/26)… Tallied her best 6K time in the Paul Short Invitational Gold Division race, posting a 21:47 time… Ran an 18:28.66 in the Crimson Classic, her best 5K clocking of the year.

2014 Track
Indoor: Entered the 3,000 and 5,000 meters… best 3K performance came in a fourth-place result at the Virginia Tech Challenge with a time of 10:05.50, lowering her time 20 seconds from her first race of the season… in the 5K, recorded an all-time top 10 time in her first race, clocking a 17:17.94 to finish third at the prestigious Armory Collegiate Invitational…shaved more time off her 5K at her first SEC Championship, crossing with the No. 4 time in program history at 17:07.81 to finish 17th.

Outdoor: Moved into the South Carolina top 10 in all three events she ran in during her freshman season…in the 3,000 meters, posted two wins and one runner up finish in her three entries at the distance…is the No. 9 3,000m runner in school history at 9:57.45, a time she posted in her win at the Shamrock Invitational…in the 5,000 meters, ran a 17:08.95 at Florida Relays to finish 12th, a time that ranks fifth in school history…in her lone 10,000 meter race of the season at the SEC Outdoor Championship, finished 12th after running nearly 8,000 meters with just one shoe…time of 35:42.96 is third in Gamecock history.

2013 Cross Country
Earned Southeastern Conference All-Freshman honors and ranked second on the team in six of the seven races in which she competed … Finished eighth overall and third on the team in the season-opening Carolina Challenge … Posted a 12th-place finish in her first career 6K at the Mountain Dew Invitational … Posted the sixth-fastest 5K in Gamecock history (17:39.0) while finishing fifth overall in the Royal XC Challenge … Grabbed SEC Freshman of the Week accolades for that performance … Posted consecutive 33rd-place showings in the Indiana State Pre-National Invite White Race and the SEC Championships, lowering her time in each … Picked up the SEC All-Freshman nod with her 21:33.77 mark, taking the last spot on the team … Finished in 29th overall at the NCAA Southeast Regional … Her time of 21:21.3 stood 13th in program annals.

HIGH SCHOOL
Earned four letters each in track and cross country for coaches Jon Line and Melanie Arena at St. Mary’s High School … Won a 2012 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A conference title … Three-time A all-county athlete … A three-time cross country team MVP and twice the track MVP … Two-time IAAM 3200m silver medalist and two-time IAAM 1600m bronze medalist … Helped her team finish second in the IAAM A Conference twice … Listed her best 5K as 19:05, 1600m at 5:18 and 3200m at 11:24 … Also took two letters in swimming … A member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor.

PERSONAL
Mary Elizabeth Reiser is the daughter of Henry and Renee and the sister of Caroline, who runs at East Carolina … Majoring in public relations.
