COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team went 2-2 on the week, defeating North Florida in a one-run contest on Tuesday night before dropping 2-of-3 games against Clemson on the weekend.

NOTES:
Andrew Eyster was given the Tom Price Award, handed out to the Gamecocks’ Most Valuable Player of the Clemson series. Eyster went 3-for-10 with a pair of doubles and a triple in the three contests against the Tigers. Eyster leads Carolina with a .359 average and three doubles.
 
Thomas Farr picked up his second win of the season in the 8-5 victory over Clemson on Saturday afternoon in Segra Park. Farr allowed just two hits and one earned run with three strikeouts in five innings of work. On the season, Farr has a 2.79 earned-run average.
 
Wes Clarke continues his power surge in 2020, belting his fifth home run of the year in Saturday’s win over Clemson. Clarke is hitting .306 with 15 RBI and has a .722 slugging percentage.
 
The Gamecocks picked up a midweek win over North Florida on Tuesday night as George Callil and Bryant Bowen homered while TJ Shook struck out five to record his first save of the season. Shook now has 13 strikeouts in just 6.2 innings pitched this season.
 
Julian Bosnic picked up his first collegiate win in the UNF game, striking out a pair in 2.2 innings of relief. Bosnic now has four strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work this season.

Carolina has its final five-game week of the regular season, heading to Furman on Tuesday at Fluor Field before hosting Boston College Wednesday night and welcoming Cornell for a three-game series this weekend.
