The Gamecock Club and Give 4 Garnet
The Gamecock Club is excited to participate in the University of South Carolina’s annual day of giving, Give 4 Garnet. Give 4 Garnet is a one-day, eight hour, and one-minute celebration of the University of South Carolina beginning March 20 at 5:59 a.m. and will run through March 21 at 2:00 p.m.
“We are committed to seeing all our student-athletes earn their degree at the University of South Carolina. The Carolina Degree Completion Program is there for them, should they choose to leave to pursue a professional career or due to other circumstances. It’s a great opportunity to make sure our student-athletes meet the goal of graduation.”
This year’s focus is The Carolina Degree Completion Program (CDC), which is part of the Gamecock Student-Athlete Promise Fund. The CDC is for student-athletes who left the university in good academic standing to pursue a professional career or did not complete their degree due to personal circumstances. The program allows those former student-athletes to apply to be readmitted to come back to campus and finish their degree while being eligible to receive funding for room, board, books, and tuition. Funds for this initiative and donations will help make a lasting impact on our next generation of leaders.
