Track & Field Hosts Annual Coaches Clinic
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina track & field program will hold its annual Sprint, Jump and Hurdles Coaches Clinic Nov. 22-23, 2019. This season’s clinic will take place at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Track as well as the Darla Moore School of Business on the Carolina campus.
Early registration for this year’s Coaches Clinic is $150, with the deadline set for Nov. 15. Regular registration, including walk-up registration, begins Nov. 16 and costs $175.
Featured speakers at the 2019 Coaches Clinic include USATF researcher Dr. Ralph Mann, Carolina assistant coach Karim Abdel Wahab, Lawrence Johnson who coach World Record holder Dalilah Muhammed, Olympic medalist Dr. Brad Deweese and Vince Anderson who previously coached Arries Merritt and Justin Gatlin.
Topics include Sprint Starts, Hurdle Biomechanics, Maximizing Transfer, The Art of the 4×100 relay, high hurdles and 400m hurdles. In addition to speaking sessions, the clinic includes a biomechanical analysis session with Dr. Mann.
Camp registration is open to any and all participants; limited only by age, grade level, and/or gender.
