Baseball Quartet to Participate in MLB Draft Combine
PHOENIX – Eli Jerzembeck, Eli Jones, Roman Kimball and Cole Messina of the University of South Carolina baseball team will participate in the 2024 MLB Draft Combine, held on June 18-23 at Chase Field in Phoenix, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The combine will feature 319 draft-eligible prospects and attendees will have the opportunity to be interviewed by and interact with big league general managers and scouting directors.
The combine will provide an opportunity for players to participate in a series of medical and Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP) performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for careers in professional baseball. All players will have the opportunity to participate in a pro-style showcase workout, as well as strength and PDP performance assessments.
The four Gamecocks will be joined in Phoenix by signees Brandon Clarke, Beau Hollins, Carson Messina and PJ Morlando.
The combine will be televised on MLB Network beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday. The 2024 MLB Draft is set for July 14-16 in Arlington, Texas.
