In the men’s 3K, Strom trailed until the final lap, when he turned on the jets for the victory. The senior ran 8:53.08 in his final Cregger Track appearance.
In the women’s 4x100m relay, it was all Carolina right from the gun. Stephanie Davis, Stanley, Amecia Pennamon and Parks posted a time of 44.67, battling chilly conditions for the win. On the men’s side of the 4×1, Randrianasolo, Evan Miller, Ronald Fuller and Carlos Wilson ran a season-best 40.33 for the victory.

FROM THE COACH
“Our seniors are proud of their institution. They’re glad to be Gamecocks and to have (the last) two weeks where they get to have experiences at home. My heart goes out to kids who make that commitment.”
“Expectations are high. The kids like making each other smile. They reach in and go for the gusto. Carisma wanted to move herself into the SEC top 10, so that she feels like she’s got a shot to score at the conference meet, and that was big. Heather wanted to leave a mark this year in the top 10, and she did. Our kids keep fighting for top-10 marks.”- Head Coach Curtis Frye
UP NEXT FOR THE GAMECOCKS
It’s championship season for the Gamecocks beginning next week at the 125th Penn Relays. Carolina’s annual trip to Philadelphia will be held April 25-27 at historic Franklin Field.
