Gamecocks Earn Three Indoor All-SEC Selections

Hall, Moore, Women's 4x4 honored after podium finishes at SEC Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The University of South Carolina track & field program earned three All-SEC nods for the 2019 indoor season, the Southeastern Conference office announced on Wednesday. Quincy Hall was honored as a first-team selection, while Isaiah Moore and the 4x400m relay squad of Aliyah Abrams, Stephanie Davis, Wadeline Jonathas and Tatyana Mills earned second-team status.

Hall landed on the All-SEC first team after winning the men’s 400m title on Feb. 23 at the 2019 SEC Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Hall led the final from start to finish and crossed the line in 45.69, a new school record. He is Carolina’s first SEC indoor track champion since 2009.

Moore finished third in the men’s 60m hurdles in Fayetteville, earning his second-career bronze medal at the conference level. The redshirt senior ran 7.77 in the SEC final for his best-ever finish at the indoor conference meet.

Abrams, Davis, Jonathas and Mills won the SEC Championships silver medal in the 4x400m relay. The quartet’s time of 3:29.56 ranks second nationally this season and is the third-best indoor mark in Carolina history.

Abrams and Jonathas will also run the individual 400m at the national meet.
