Led the team in nearly every pitching category … Finished the season with a 3.42 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, seven wins, four shutouts, and 132 strikeouts in 127 innings pitched … Held opponents to a .201 batting average … Threw nine complete games … Started 17 games and made 31 overall appearances … Capped her season with a 13-inning complete game against New Mexico State (5/4), where she struck out a career-high 15 batters … Struck out 10 batters against Louisiana Tech (4/17) … Threw a complete game one-hit shutout with six strikeouts against Western Kentucky (4/5) … Threw a two-hit complete game shutout with eight strikeouts against UTEP (4/26) … Recorded at least five strikeouts in 15 appearances.

2024 (Kennesaw State, Freshman)

Made 19 appearances with four starts … Led the charge among freshmen in: Innings pitched, strikeouts, complete games and shutouts … Impressed early with no earned runs allowed versus Creighton (Feb. 11) over three innings … Cemented the first solo complete game shutout with five innings versus Robert Morris (Feb. 25) … Allowed just one-hit versus the Colonials to pair with five strikeouts … Shined versus Stetson (March 17) allowing three hits over 5.1 innings in the win

HIGH SCHOOL:

Whitewater High School’s 2022 HOSA President Emma Friedel joins Kennesaw State after an impressive 35-2 record earlier this season … The Wildcats were undefeated in the 2022 regular season and did not lose a game with Friedel in the circle, helping the team to GHSA AAAA state runner-up honors … She posted an ERA of .483 this year and notched her 300th career strikeout in October … She also had 29 strikeouts in 21 innings in the state tournament with 12 coming in the championship game.
