Softball Announces 2026 Non-Conference Slate

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina softball head coach Ashley Chastain Woodard announced the team’s non-conference 2026 schedule. The Gamecocks will open the season with nine home games. The 31-game non-conference schedule includes three home tournaments, a home-and-home matchup with Clemson, and 16 games against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams.

Diamond Club memberships are available now, which will be the only opportunity for fans to purchase season tickets. Each level of donation includes at least one VIP Card, which provides entrance for the card holder to all regular season home games with general admission seating. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.

Carolina kicks off the season with the Gamecock Invitational February 5-8, hosting Binghamton, Syracuse, Virgina Tech, and Winthrop. The following weekend (Feb. 13-15) it will host the Carolina Classic, which will feature Boston University, Kennesaw State, Louisville, and UC Riverside.

South Carolina heads to the previously announced Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, February 19-21 and will take on Nebraska, Oregon, Saint Mary’s, UCLA, and Washington.

The Gamecocks return to Carolina Softball Stadium for a mid-week matchup against Charlotte (Feb. 24) before a rematch at Winthrop on Feb. 25. Two days later South Carolina hosts the Garnet & Black Invitational with Marist, Queens University Charlotte, and UAB.

Before kicking off SEC play, Carolina hosts Florida Atlantic March 3.

It will be a busy spring break for the Gamecocks as they host Duke March 10, travel to Coastal Carolina March 11, and host a three-game series against Boston College March 13-15.

A pair of non-conference mid-week games bookend SEC play as the Gamecocks host Georgia Southern March 18 and travel to North Carolina April 22.

The Palmetto Series Presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery will take place March 25 in Columbia and April 14 at Clemson.

The previously announced SEC schedule will see the Gamecocks host Texas, LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M, with road trips to Mississippi State, Tennessee, Missouri, and Alabama. Due to the Tennessee series falling on Easter weekend, that series will begin a day earlier than originally announced and now takes place April 2-4.

The Diamond Club is a dedicated group of supporters committed to enhancing the experience of Gamecock Softball student-athletes on and off the field. There are four levels for yearly donations: Single, Double, Triple, and Home Run. More information can be found here.

Contributions to the Diamond Club can be made by credit card online or over the phone by calling Athletic Ticket Office at 803-777-4274. To ensure all benefits are received for opening day, supporters are encouraged to join by January 23, 2026.
