A Trio of Gamecocks Head to ITA Sectionals

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis is sending three to the ITA Sectionals Championship in Chapel Hill, N.C., beginning on Thursday.

No. 24 Kaitlyn Carnicella and Daniela Piani will compete in the singles competition, while Bella Bergqvist Larsson joins Carnicella for doubles.

Last time out at the ITA Regional Championships, Larsson and Carnciella made it to the final round of doubles play before falling to the number one seed from UNC.

Carnciella advanced to the quarterfinals of the main singles draw before falling to Savannah Dada-Mascoll from Appalachian State. She also made it to the round of 32 at the ITA All-American Championships.

10 a.m.- Daniela Piani (SC) vs. Anastasia Sysoeva (Syracuse)

12:15 p.m. – Kaitlyn Carnciella (SC) vs. Eleana Yu (Duke)

DOUBLES:

2:45 p.m. – Bella Bergqvist Larsson/Kaitlyn Carniella (SC) vs. Candela Yecora/Romana Cisovksa (Clemson)
