Mast Awarded SEC Women’s Runner of the Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 24, 2026) – South Carolina middle-distance runner, Eline Mast, has been named SEC Women’s Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Mast dominated in both the women’s mile and 800m in her final home meet for the Gamecocks at the USC Invite on Saturday. In the mile, she won and moved up the program leaderboard to seventh overall with a time of 4:47.08. In the 800m, she crossed the line with a personal best time of 2:09.13, capturing the win and advancing into 10th all time in program history.

Mast and the rest of the Gamecocks are en route to College Station, Texas for the 2026 SEC Indoor Championship. The conference meet will begin on Thursday, Feb. 26 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Fasken Indoor Track & Field.
