Bev Smith Softball Camps' Winter Clinics Open for Registration

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Online registration is now open for South Carolina head coach Beverly Smith’s winter softball clinics, set for the holiday weekend in January at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Those wanting to participate can sign up at bevsmithsoftball.com.

Coaches are invited to sign up for the annual coaches clinic on Sun., Jan. 15. This full-day experience will go over drills in a seminar setting in the morning before watching the Gamecocks take the field in the afternoon. The day clinic is $65 per coach and also gains the coaches access to Monday’s player clinics.

On Monday, Jan. 16, the Gamecock staff and clinic coaches welcome pitchers and catchers to the morning session, titled “Improving the Battery.” Both pitchers and catchers will work on fundamentals in their groups before coming back together to learn how to work together better for the last 90 minutes of the day. In the afternoon, a hitting clinic will take place, with special emphasis on preparing the athlete’s swing for the 2017 season. Cost for each session is $75 per player.

While signing up at bevsmithsoftball.com, players are reminded to fill out the medical forms found there, which are required for clinic participants.

All camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number of participants, age, grade level and/or gender).
