COLUMBIA, S.C. – – Incoming Gamecock women’s soccer freshman Simone Wark is one of 22 individuals called into camp with the Jamaican Senior National Team.

The five-day camp convened in Orlando, Fla., on Tues., June 16, and will continue through Sun., June 21.

Preparing for the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Olympic Qualifiers is the current primary focus with the event set to be held August 19-26. Three teams from the Caribbean will move on from the qualifiers to the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament in January 2016.

Wark has twice been called into U-20 camp by Jamaica, most recently June 3-9 in Orlando. The future Gamecock was a member of the country’s 2014 U-20 National Team for CONCACAF.

A native of Whitby, Ontario, Wark will join the Gamecocks in the fall.
