2015 NCAA Tournament Bracket

South Carolina earned a bid into the 2015 NCAA Softball Tournament, advancing for the second-straight year to the Tallahassee Regional, which is set to begin on Friday at Joanne Graf Field. The Gamecocks take on American Athletic Conference champ UCF on the opening day, with game times to be determined.

The Florida State Seminoles claimed the No. 9 national seed after winning the Atlantic Coast Conference title, and they take on Ivy League champ Dartmouth on Friday as well.

“We were excited to hear our name called,” said Gamecock head coach Beverly Smith, “and we’re looking forward to going to Tallahassee to compete. It certainly looks like a regional with tough pitching like it was last year. From a preparation standpoint we’re excited because we’ve seen UCF and Florida State already this season.”

It’s the Gamecocks’ 18th regional in history and the third straight under their fifth-year head coach Smith. Last year, South Carolina went to Tallahassee and went 1-2, falling twice to USF. It’s the third time South Carolina has played in a regional at Florida State, first going in 1989.

Ticket prices are $20 for all-session passes for adults and $15 for youth and seniors and will go on sale Monday morning at 8:30 on Seminoles.com or by calling 1-888-FSU-NOLE. Game times will be announced on Monday afternoon first at Seminoles.com.
