- Four-year letter-winner 1996-99
- 1999 SEC Softball Player of the Year and First-Team NFCA All-American
- Three-time NFCA All-Region (1997-99) and first-team All-SEC
- 1999 CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-America
- Two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District (1998-99)
- Three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member
- Started for the 1997 Women’s College World Series team.
Profile
- Pietro chose South Carolina because she fell in love with everything about the campus, including the Horseshoe, her favorite place on campus.
- The weather also played a role in choosing SC.
- She says her favorite years were her first two because the team’s goal was to “WIN.”
- Playing was more about the people and teammates around her and not the records and honors.
- Her favorite moments came in 1997: winning the SEC Tournament, regionals and making it to the Women’s College World Series.
Current Life
- She now has two masters, one from Syracuse and now serves as a director of college relations.
- Pietro also has competed in Ironman Triathlons, which includes 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles on a bike and a 26.2 mile run.
- She was a world champion in 2012.
