COLUMBIA, S.C. – Nine times this spring, the SEC Network features South Carolina softball, as ESPN announced a three-fold increase in SEC softball games televised on its family of networks for the 2015 season.

The Gamecocks will have the first SEC games on the network and its first three home league contests as well when Missouri comes to town to start SEC play over March 7-9. The first game of the series on Saturday begins at 12 noon (all times Eastern), with Sunday’s contest closing a tripleheader for the SEC Network at 6 p.m. Monday’s game, a new feature on the SEC Network’s schedule, has a 7 p.m. first pitch scheduled.

Four of South Carolina’s road contests will be on the cable SEC Network, with the final two games of both the Texas A&M and Mississippi series. The Aggies and Gamecocks play at 6:30 p.m. on Sat., March 21, and 1 p.m. on Sun., March 22. In Oxford, the Rebels and Gamecocks meet on Sat., April 25, at 4 p.m. and on Sun., April 26, at 4:30 p.m.

One Gamecock midweek contest makes the slate, as a battle of in-state squads that both made the 2014 NCAA Tournament takes place on Tues., April 7, at 7 p.m. with South Carolina facing USC Upstate. The Gamecocks’ final regular-season contest also makes the airways; as Mississippi State and South Carolina begin a four-game showcase over three ESPN networks on Sun., May 3, at 12 noon.

Twenty-six other games are set for Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field in 2015, and all will be shown on the SEC Network + via ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app. In addition, the Gamecocks’ games at Florida (April 3-4) and at Kentucky (April 17-19) as well as the Friday games on March 20 at Texas A&M and April 24 at Mississippi will air on SEC Network +.
