The 38th ranked University of South Carolina women’s tennis team fell to the BYU Cougars 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in Provo, Utah. The loss dropped South Carolina to 10-5 overall.
The Gamecocks dropped the doubles point by losing at the two and three double matchup. The loss for Kenoyer and Wiggins was the second of the year since the dual has been teaming together. Boyanovich and Wojdylo took the only doubles match for the Gamecocks with a 8-4 win over BYU’s Klempner and Richards.
South Carolina took their only points of the match by taking wins at number two and three singles. Wiggins and Kenoyer both took their matches in straight sets.
The Gamecocks travel to Salt Lake City to face Utah on Sunday at 1p.m. Eastern.
