the final ITA poll … Ranked nationally in doubles for much of the spring with Dominika Kanakova … The duo finished the season ranked No. 28, their highest billing of the year … Struggled in singles play during the spring while holding down the No. 1 position for nearly every match … Her top singles victory of the spring came against Ole Miss on Senior Day when she defeated then-No. 45 Caroline Honor Roll. 2010-11 (SOPHOMORE): Chosen for the All-Big West Second Team in doubles with partner Rachel Manasse … The two went undefeated in Big West play and won a pair of matches in the Big West Tournament to help Long Beach State earn its eighth all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament … Reached the semifinals in singles at the CSF Fall Intercollegiate in October after winning her first three contests … Played the first six matches of the spring at No. 2 singles … After losing her opening match to Alison Ramos of Southern California, Alawi won her next three matches and lost just five games in six sets … Moved to No. 4 singles following LBSU’s match with Boston College on March 11 … Also played three contests at No. 5 singles down the stretch and had a 3-0 mark at the position … Had a strong year in doubles with Manasse, as the duo went 14-4 … The two played all but one match at No. 2 doubles and finished 13-4 on court two … As a whole, Alawi was 16-7 in dual matches selection in both singles and doubles with partner Rachel Manasse at Long Beach State … Went 4-6 over the fall before posting a 16-7 record in dual match play in singles … Ranked No. 125 in singles from March 30 to April 13 … Started off the dual season at No. 3 singles, going 4-1, then moved to No. 2, where she was 3-1, and finished the year at No. 1 singles with a 9-5 record at the position … Defeated two ranked opponents in singles during the season … Topped then-No. 70 Mary Weatherholt 7-5, 6-4 in a 5-2 win Nebraska and beat Cal Poly’s then-No. 85 Susie Matzenauer 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 in a 5-2 win over the Mustangs … Missing a partner for the first fall tournament, Alawi entered a unique partnership with St. Mary’s Molly Aloia, as the two went 2-1 at the Cal Invitational … Went 19-9 with
