GREENVILLE, N.C. – Four South Carolina throwers competed on the first day of the Bill Carson Invitational at East Carolina University. Junior Kaysee Sullivan, the lone Gamecock women to compete on Friday, posted a second-place finish in the discus.
In the hammer, Seay was just inches off his all-time best, claiming second with a heave of 182’6″ (55.63m). A throw of 138’8″ (42.27m) in the discus earned him fourth place.
Seay picked up points for South Carolina with her second-place finish in the discus, hitting a mark of 152′ (46.33m).
Juniors Walker Selby and Joshua Suttmeier also scored for South Carolina. Selby took fourth in the hammer with a toss of 167’6″ (51.05m) and eighth in the discus (131-05//40.06m).
