TEMPE, Ariz. –
Inclement weather around the Arizona State campus has canceled South Carolina’s final day of action in the ASU Louisville Slugger Invitational.
The Gamecocks were originally scheduled to face Detroit at 12:15 p.m. MST, but rain at the end of the previous game delayed and changed the schedule. South Carolina started its 4:30 p.m. game against Florida International, but 37 minutes in, the severe weather returned, bringing the tarp back to the field. After an hour delay, ASU officials called the game and the rest of the day’s action.
South Carolina plays Charleston Southern at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Live video and Gametracker will be available on GamecocksOnline.com.
