South Carolina-Francis Marion Game Notes Get Acrobat Reader

Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina (24-9) is back in action on Wednesday night traveling to Florence, S.C. for a non-conference tilt against Francis Marion (26-13). It will be the first game ever played in brand-new Cormell Field at Sparrow Stadium. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. and can be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network from IMG College. The game is sold out.

South Carolina will send junior LHP Adam Westmoreland (2-0, 1.93 ERA) to the hill with Francis Marion countering with senior LHP Matt Broderick (5-1, 2.14 ERA).

South Carolina leads the all-time series history 12-2 against the Patriots. This is the first meeting between the two schools since 1987. South Carolina won both games against FMU that year with a 9-3 victory in Columbia and a 10-2 win in Florence.
