COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina track and field program earned a total of four United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America honors following the performances of the men’s and women’s team at the NCAA Indoor Championships last weekend in Nampa, Idaho.

Senior Marvin Reitze and sophomore Jeannelle Scheper both earned first team honors by the organization, and senior Kierre Beckles and freshman Erika Rucker both earned second team honors.

Reitze was the NCAA silver medalist in the men’s pole vault after matching the school record and setting a personal record in the event at 18’0 ½ (5.50m). Scheper placed eighth in the women’s high jump at 5’10 (1.78m) in her first career NCAA Championship appearance.

Rucker finished 11th in the women’s 400-meter run at 53.54, and Beckles took 13th in the women’s 60-meter hurdles at 8.24.
