Coach Horn

COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Darrin Horn and his staff will host the Fourth Annual Darrin Horn Ladies Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, from 9-11:30 a.m. at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Palmetto Health Foundation for the Breast Cancer Program, Research and Support Services.

The fundraising efforts from the event will directly impact women in the Columbia community whose lives, in some part, have been affected by cancer.

Those interested in attending should register for the event by Oct. 10 to receive an early bird registration fee of $35. After Oct. 10, cost for the event will be $40. University of South Carolina students may use their Carolina Card for payment at the door. Check-in for the event will begin at 8 a.m. in the main lobby of Colonial Life Arena.

Among the highlights of the event are up-close interaction with Coach Horn, his coaching staff and players, including the opportunity for photos and autographs. A behind the scenes tour of the brand new state-of-the-art Game Day Locker Room, a question-and-answer session, interactive basketball drills with the players, a look at the 2011-12 uniforms, lunch and an exclusive Under Armour Ladies Clinic T-shirt will also be included in the event.

Proceeds will be donated to Palmetto Health Foundation to benefit Palmetto Health Breast Center. Funds may be used to purchase equipment, such as ultrasound units, that helps physicians diagnose breast cancer in its earliest stage. Funds also support research, awareness efforts and patient support services. All funds stay local.
