As we approach the end of the indoor track and field season, fans will have two chances to catch their South Carolina track and field teams on television in the coming weeks.

The SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships will air next Thursday, March 10, at 9 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU. The 90-minute broadcast will air highlights from last weekend’s conference championships that saw the Gamecocks bring home four medals, including Lakya Brookins’s history-making gold medal in the 60-meter dash. Other Gamecock medalists at the event were David Wilkins earning silver in the high jump, and a duo of bronze from Michael Zajac (weight throw) and Matt Shuler (pole vault).

Fans will also get two chances to see the Gamecocks compete in next weekend’s NCAA Indoor Championships that are slated to be held Friday and Saturday at the Gilliam Track Complex in College Station, Texas. The two-day event will have portions streamed live on ESPN3.com and AggieAthletics.com. On Friday, March 11, all competition from 11 a.m.-4:55 p.m. (ET) will be streamed live on NCAA.com and AggieAthletics.com. ESPN3 will then take over the live coverage from 4:55 p.m.-9:40 p.m. (ET). On Saturday, March 12, the competition from 1 p.m.-5:55 p.m. (ET) will again be streamed by NCAA.com and AggieAthletics.com before ESPN3 takes over for the remainder of the championships from 6 p.m.-8:50 p.m. (ET).

The 2011 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will also air a highlight show on a tape-delayed basis. That show will air Wednesday, March 16, from 1:30-3 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2.
