Matt Price
On going in to pitch today…
I knew that I needed to be ready for any situation and when they called down to the pen and told me to start warming up and to get ready, I knew that I might be going in early.

On his ability to pitch in Sunday’s game…
I’m going to go into the weight room and get some stuff done, I’m going to go into the training room and get some more stuff done, I just need to be able to go tomorrow and if it’s long, then so be it.

On the hit during the ninth inning…
He hit a slider that was up and it was supposed to be down, I just missed my spot.

On Arkansas’ hitters…
They were very aggressive and no one in the SEC is a bad hitting team and Arkansas has been putting together at-bats, drawing walks, and hitting everything kind of solid, but the plan is just to make them chase a little bit, but other than that they have been doing a good job.

Steven Neff
On playing designated hitter…
The more at bats I get the better I am starting to see the ball. I have had enough at bats now where I am starting to feel comfortable up there and I’m starting to recognize the pitches.

On playing both pitcher and designated hitter…
I feel like I am still a pitcher, but I’m having fun out there I’m glad coach gave me the opportunity play some and start swinging the bat. I don’t really care if I am called a hitter or a pitcher because I am fine doing both.

Scott Wingo
On his home run…
I was trying to get on base I was trying to see a ball elevate a little bit and take a good hack at it, and he put it in there and I put a good swing on it.

On the importance of tonight’s win…
I just think that we wanted to come out and we didn’t get a win last night but we knew we needed a win today and I thought we fought real hard. They came at us and we looked resilient, we fought hard and that was big.

On the difference between last night and tonight…
We had that rain delay, I don’t think that was a factor or anything but I don’t think that we had much pressure. You know the guys on this team, we don’t get too uptight we are usually loose, we just came out and knew that it was another day.

Head Coach Ray Tanner
Opening Statement
It was a hard fought win today, I am really proud of our guys for hanging in there and being able to win a game against an Arkansas team that has been really really special the last few weeks.

On Forrest Koumas…
I think Forrest Koumas is continuing to grow, I know he got into a pickle there early but he got out of it. His poise and composure today has been the best that I have seen it and being a true freshman sometimes his emotions have gotten the best of him and as you go through this deal you cant overcome things with emotion and adrenaline, yeah it might help some things but your not going to pitch that way as a starter. He got into a couple pickles there today but he got out of it.
