COLUMBIA, S.C. – For the first posting of Volley Voices, a new question-and-answer feature with South Carolina Volleyball, we ask the team about what they did during the rare snow days that delayed the start of the 2011 spring semester two weeks ago.
So, what did the Gamecocks do while classes were canceled two weeks ago due to snow in Columbia?
Teresa Stenlund: I was out playing in the snow for a few hours and had a snowball fight with some friends. Later, we stayed in and watched movies and cooked a big dinner!
Kellie Schmidt: I walked all the way to Dominos in the freezing cold with Jules (Juliette Thévenin) to find food.
Casie Slaughter: Sled using cafeteria trays.
Christina Glover: I slept.
Olivia Ryder: I slept in and read a book with hot chocolate. 🙂
Taylor Bruns: I watched movies and laid around the dorm. Really lazy stuff haha!
Paige Wheeler: We had a snowball in the quads against the football team! And I attempted to make a snowman.
Kathryn Pearce: Had a snowball fight with the football team!!
Frankie Vain: Snowball fight in east quad with the football team!
Lindsey Craft: We all had a huge snowball fight against the football guys…painful I might add.
Brandi Byers: I made a 12-foot snowman during the snow days!
