COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The South Carolina softball team shows its support for some of its fellow Gamecocks this week, as it makes appearances at Colonial Life Arena for two big basketball games.

On Thursday, the team is coming to the Gamecock women’s basketball game against No. 5/6 Tennessee, which tips at 7 p.m. The team will be recognized during the contest. Then the team returns on Saturday to sign autographs before the men’s basketball game against No. 12 Kentucky, which starts at 6 p.m. The team will be stationed on the concourse just inside the main entrance to Colonial Life Arena for the signing on Saturday.

The Gamecocks start the 2011 season in 23 days, facing Charleston Southern at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 as part of the Palmetto State Showdown at Beckham Field.
