Competed in seven meets during the indoor season, competing in the shot put … Scored in the 2023 SEC Indoor Championship, finishing eighth overall with a distance of 18.62m (61-1.25) … Began his season with back-to-back wins at the Gamecock Opener (18.88m) and the Carolina Challenge (19.25m) … Also claimed two more wins at the South Carolina Invitational (19.23m) and the USC Indoor Open (18.73m) … Registered a new indoor PR in the shot put at the Tiger Paw Invite, throwing 19.26m (63-2.25) for the fifth-longest indoor shot put throw in program history.

Appeared in eight meets during the outdoor season, competing in the shot put and the discus … Competed at the NCAA East Regional in both the shot put and the discus, finishing 15^th in the shot put and 26^th in the discus throw … Shined at the SEC Outdoor Championship in Baton Rouge, finishing fourth in the shot put with a distance of 19.53m (64-1), while also finishing 10^th in the discus after throwing 53.23m (174-7) … Won the Weems Baskin Relays shot put after throwing 19.42m (63-8.75) … Posted back-to-back runner-up finishes in the shot put at the Florida Relays and Tom Jones Memorial, including throwing a new personal best 19.89m (65-3.25) at the Tom Jones … His throw of 19.89m officially ranks third all-time in Gamecock history … Won the USC Open discus event with a new personal best, launching 54.86m (180-0) … Also finished third in the discus at the Weems Baskin Relays … Posted a fourth-place finish in the discus at the Penn Relays, while also finishing ninth in the shot put while in Philadelphia.

Indoor

Named SEC All-Freshman in his first indoor season … Competed in six events for the Gamecocks, making his South Carolina debut at the Orange and Purple Elite where he threw the shot put 17.46m (57-3.50) to place third … The next week at the Gamecock Opener, he finished runner-up with a mark of 17.86m (58-7.25) … Cleared 18m for the first time when he threw 18.21m (59-9) … Recorded his indoor shot put personal-record in the SEC Indoor Championship when he threw 18.39m (60-4) to place 10^th overall.

Outdoor

Named to the SEC All-Freshman Team for the outdoor season … Also earned a spot on the Honorable Mention All-American squad … Competed in eight outdoor meets, participating in both the shot put and the discus throw … Started the outdoor season with a third-place finish in the Tiger Track Classic shot put (17.79m/58-4.50) and sixth in discus (50.15m/164-6) … Put together a strong showing at the Weems Baskin Relays when he claimed the victory in shot put after throwing 18.57m (60-11.25) and finished third in the discus throw (52.65m/172-9) … Registered a personal-best mark in the discus at the Florida Relays when he threw 52.70m (172-11) to finish third overall … In the next meet at the Gamecock Invitational, he tallied his outdoor shot put PR when he cleared 19.02m (62-5) to capture the podium … Competed in the SEC Outdoor Championship, scoring in shot put when he finished seventh with a mark of 18.78m (61-7.50) … Qualified for both regionals and NCAA Outdoor Championship, finishing 11^th in regionals in the shot put with a mark of 18.91m (62-0.50).
