GREENVILLE, S.C. — The South Carolina women’s tennis team finished play in the Furman Fall Classic on Sunday in Greenville, S.C.

Dominika Kanakova and Anya Morgina scored a victory in the first flight by an 8-2 score against Boyette and Murray of Furman. Kanakova also played doubles with Katerina Popova in flight two and the pair suffered an 8-4 loss to Robertson and Wu of Vanderbilt. In flight three, Popova teamed with Madeleine Saari-Byström and lost 8-6 to Belaya and Magnusson from Clemson.

Miljana Jocic was scheduled to play doubles with Morgina in flight one, while Dijana Stojic was paired with Kanakova in flight two. Both Gamecocks sat out the day because of injuries.

South Carolina returns to fall tournament play in two weeks when it travels to Evanston, Ill., for the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern.
