GAINESVILLE, Fla. –
The South Carolina men’s and women’s diving teams continued competition at the SEC East Challenge in Gainesville, Fla. Friday afternoon. Freshman Tracey Richardson competed strong in her first one-meter board competition at USC and finished in fourth place at 256.00. Freshman Dean Emmerton placed highest for the men’s squad on the three-meter board, finishing sixth with a total of 270.55.

Also scoring points for USC was freshman Allison Brennan, who earned a seventh-place finish, sophomore Holly Hodges finishing eighth and freshman Tamra Baker earning 13th place. For the men’s squad, seniors Brad Brown and Brandon Hulko placed 10th and 13th respectively.

With the diving portion of the SEC East Challenge complete, the USC women’s swimming and diving team currently ranks in second place with 83 points, 11 points behind Tennessee. The South Carolina men’s swimming and diving team is currently in third place with 59 points. The Volunteer’s men’s squad is also in first place.

South Carolina swimming and diving teams will compete in their first dual meet tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. as the Gamecocks face Tennessee.
