The University of South Carolina men’s golf team stands in 15th at the Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational after two rounds of action. After struggling in the first round, firing 305, the Gamecocks would improve in the second round with a score of 296. Their two-round score of 601 is 25 strokes of the leader Augusta State. Wake Forest is in second, followed by Clemson and Duke, who are tied for third.
Martin Rominger leads the team after shooting even-par 72 in both rounds of action. He is currently in a tie for 14th with a score of 144. Brent Delahoussaye shooting consistently in today’s action, posting two rounds of 75 to tie for 45th. Johan Kok shot a first round score of 78 and followed it up with a 74 in the second round. Kok is in 62nd, while teammate Nash Elliot (147) is 68th. Closing out the Gamecocks’ five-man squad is Matt Giffin, who is tied for 71st after registering 156 (81-75).
The final round of the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational is scheduled to tee-off at 8:00 a.m.
