Columbia, S.C. – The Gamecocks enter the midweek doubleheader having won 15 of their last 20 games. They are 19-6 overall in non-conference play including winning their last ten straight. Carolina also finished the weekend still atop the SEC East and only four wins away from their fourth consecutive, twelfth overall, 40-win season. Carolina pitcher Megan Matthews is just two victories away from her 100th career win.

The Coastal Carolina Lady Chanticleers enter the doubleheader following a sweep of Elon College and clinching the Big South Conference’s regular season championship. The Lady Chants are on an eight-game win streak and have won 11 of their last 12.

USC holds a definitive edge in the series with Coastal as the Gamecocks lead 33-1. Carolina’s only loss was in 2000 at Beckham Field.
