After defeating the number two seed in the first round of the NCAA Singles Tennis Championships at Stanford Tuesday, South Carolina senior Katarina Markovski was eliminated late Tuesday in the second round by Fresno State’s Chloe Carlotti, 6-4, 6-4.

Markovski finishes her four-year career at South Carolina with a 65-58 mark and 17-18 record in her senior year.

After a Monday rain delay that postponed their match into Tuesday morning, the native of Yugoslavia upset the two-seed Kelly McCain (from Duke) in first-round play, 6-1, 5-7, 7-5, to advance to the Tuesday night’s round of 32.

The doubles team of Jennifer Radman and Kathy Boyanovich take to the courts Wednesday to face Georgia’s duo of Agata Cioroch and Lori Grey. Neither doubles is seeded in the NCAA Doubles Tennis Championships but teams are ranked as Georgia’s team is #15 and USC is ranked at #18. In April, Radman and Boyanovich defeated Georgia, 8-5 in the SEC Tournament semi-finals.
