COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina baseball team, who Saturday advanced to the College World Series championship game, will be honored Sunday at 3 p.m. at Sarge Frye Field. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to hear from Head Coach Ray Tanner, Carolina players and come down to the field for autographs following the ceremony.

The 2002 Gamecocks captured the SEC regular-season championship, advanced to the finals of the SEC Tournament, came back from three runs down in the Super Regional to down defending national champion Miami, and fought through the loser’s bracket in Omaha to down Clemson twice and play in Saturday’s title contest. USC finishes the season 57-18 and has more victories than any other team in the nation over the last three seasons.
