COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The best junior tennis players in the state of South Carolina will compete in the Palmetto State’s premier junior event starting Friday as more than 350 individuals begin play in the Wachovia South Carolina Closed Junior Hard Court Championships on the University of South Carolina campus.

Play will run from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily from Friday, July 19 through Wednesday, July 24 at four locations: the Columbia Tennis Center on Pickens Street; the Sam Daniel Tennis Center (USC men’s courts) on Heyward Street; the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center (USC women’s courts) on Blossom Street; and the USC Indoor Facility on Whaley Street. Admission is free to all four venues.

Players will compete in five different divisions – 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s – in both singles and doubles.
