Columbia, S.C . – The 12th-ranked South Carolina men’s soccer team (2-0) heads to Durham, N.C., for the Duke-adidas Classic where it will face N. C. State (0-2) on Friday, Sept. 6 and the Blue Devils of Duke (1-0-1) on Sunday, Sept. 8. Friday’s match is slated for 5:00 p.m., while Sunday’s showdown starts at 1:00 p.m.

South Carolina and N. C. State have met 12 times with the Wolfpack leading the series 6-5-1. South Carolina won the last meeting, 4-0, back in 1997. This will be their first meeting in a neutral setting.

The Gamecocks and Blue Devils have faced-off 16 times with Duke coming out on top 8-6-2. The fans at Stone Stadium witnessed the last meeting between the two teams in 2000.
