Columbia, S.C.- With a 3-1 win against then 10th-ranked University of Washington on Sunday, Sept. 15, the University of South Carolina(6-0-0) is tied for the nation’s longest winning streak in Division I men’s soccer with six straight wins this season. The Gamecocks are undefeated with no ties and are ranked third in the nation by the Soccer Times. Carolina joins New Mexico with six wins apiece.

Head Coach Mark Berson’s team is also ranked nationally by the NCAA in several categories including scoring offense and team goals against.

The team is ranked 20th nation-wide in scoring offense with 15 total goals and a 2.5 goals per game average. Senior Jordan Quinn and freshman Ryan Deter, both forwards, lead the Gamecocks with four goals scored each.

USC is 18th nation-wide in goals against average allowing only 0.67 goals against per-game. Senior goalkeeper Michael Bachmeyer anchors the defense and has a 0.67 goals against average and a total of 16 saves on the season.

The Gamecocks next matchup against the University of Louisville Cardinals in Evansville, Ind. on Friday, Sept. 20 is the first of two matches at the Pro-rehab-Aces Classic. The second match of the tournament will be against Evansville on Sunday, Sept. 22.
